In the Scriptures, the theme of exodus and exile is mostly associated with physical historical events pertaining to God's chosen people. The journey out of Egypt under Moses, through the traverse and hardship of the desert wilderness, to entering and conquering the promised land, all serve as examples of How God deals with those he calls and chooses for his purposes.
